You'd expect it to be someone English who is managing a Premier League side that is going well and has had some experience with helping out with the National team, so from that list i voted for Curbishley.

But Allardyce would have a strong claim.

Maybe they might turn back the clock and go for Sir Bobby Robson or Flash Ron

Hiidink fills the mercenary category - he's had more clubs than Tiger Woods. Bruce fills the useless category and 'Arry Boy would fill the third category, so a combination of the 'best' parts of all of these with Beckham or Jude Law as his 'social' advisor would just about do it. I'm sure the FA would jump at the chance to employ someone like that.

Too early for Pearce & Jewell IMO. I don't think either would take it

If the FA are going english this time (which I think they probably will), then all roads lead to Sam. He is by far and away the most outstanding english candidate.

Absolutely, O'Neill would be my choice too, providing his wife is on the mend.
He is also the only one on that list that is available.........

Anybody would be mad to take it IMO, all you can expect is a media hounding if you dont win every game 6-0 like every manager good or bad since the News of the World and Sun realised the can make more money from misery than happiness

None of these will get the job. There'll appoint someone nobody's heard of, get 250/1 at Betfair or Ladbrokes, and all fill their boots. These guys know of nothing more than how to get their noses into the trough before anyone else, and I don't see them stopping now.
