Wardy and Mellor together were the best.

Sully was superb as was Chris Catlin, Fozzie and Rollings.

Can't forget Horton or Towner....Colin Pates was worth a mention

Byrne and Small had a superb parnership in the play off year and Deano could let fly with a mean left peg free kick.

Grumitt or Steele in goal were the mutz nutz and lawrensen was superb.

But who cannot forget our England international......Mark Barham

Mark Lawrenson had he not got injured at Liverpool could have performed with Eire at the highest level, I still think that in the time he played for the Albion from 1977-81 he proved to be perhaps the best player the club has ever had.
