March 1998 - Gillingham, Darlington at home - lost 4-0, Gabbiadini hat-trick.

WHAT a way to start:clap2:
Possibly the worst performance I have ever witnessed, what a way to start. We were back in the pub at half time.

Port vale at home in 92/93 season

January 1967, lost 3-2 to Walsall. My first Albion goal was an own-goal.

1969 - Birminghan City in the old League Cup, we won 2-0. I was a later starter at 14.

One slightly disturbing thing about this survey is not that many in the 90's could leave us with agap in the support.

1970 at home to Bradford City in the south stand seats. Alan Duffy came on as sub, surely the best fat player ever?

I can remember him deciding to take a penalty that somebody else was supposed to take, he was facing the North Stand and as the proposed kicked lined up he decided to run up and kick it himself, he missed it !

Signed from Newcastle for the princely sum of £10,000 he was known for being a bit of a piss head and got into a bit of trouble in Brighton following some scuffles. He was known as Alan Aggro and had his own chant. As it is like so many players he disappeared into the ether after a couple of seasons, think he went somewhere like Bury or Halifax. Wonder what he's doing now ?

West...West.......WEST SUSSEX
3rd March 1980 v Aston Villa

For some reason was ushered into the Away end as it was fairly busy that night. Not a capacity if my memiries serves me well, 23000 i think and the score was 1-1. I still cheered when Brighton scored but i made sure i was standing at the back near a row of big burley coppers!

Memories memories!!!

1975.

Had a chat with Andy Rollings last week about the "good ol days" at the Goldstone.

best match i've ever been to was the following season....probably may 1977 v sheff wed when Brighton won 3-2 to seal promotion in front of 32,000 fans.

1990 aged 10.

The great Sammy Nelson took us on a school trip to celebrate our successful season.

A dour 0-0 vs Milwall. Embarrassing songs in the family stand "2,4,6,8 who do we appreciate? Brighton! 2,4,6 and a 1/4 who are we going to slaughter? Milwall!"
