What was your first car?

Yellow 1971 Beetle, cut and shut from 2 cars welded together at the windscreen, with a 1500cc engine instead of the 1200. I drove another one a couple of years ago and can't believe I didn't kill myself! Car has long been made in to something else, except I still have a number plate on the wall of the garage.

1973 facelift Mk 1 2.0 GTXLR Capri with black vinyl sunroof and power bulge bonnet. Still have the badges from the wings and boot.

Stacked it after 9 months, then bought a Vauxhall 'Shove-it'..

Ford Capri, 1973 green with black vinyl roof.
Followed shortly afterwards by a 1962 Cadillac Coupe De Ville with the pointy tail-light wings. Cooool !

I had a white Ford Escort 1300XL rather like this one, but with a lot more rust. I had it for about 3-4 months before the floor pan peeled away thanks to me running up the curb.

Bought for 40 quid, run into the ground. Sold for parts for a tenner, and made 75 quid from a dealer for the number plate. LES 78.
She died a beautiful death.
