G reg Ford Fiesta, bought for £650, sold a couple of years later for £75 (it was absolutely on its last legs). Still feel sad when I think about the day I waved goodbye to him now.

It cost me £65 to buy and £75 to insure! I was a learner driver at the time. I bought it as it was the same car my instructor had and I wanted to practice.

It wasn't exactly a looker!

I sold it for a fiver about 6 months later after I passed my test. It would never have passed an MOT.

nice big sunshine roof, a lot more fun than any of my mates cars at the time. I had it for about 3yrs until the rear wheel came off on the M1 whilst travelling at 100mph+ - happy days
