Ben Brown lured down the wicket and stumped

80 from 104 balls, 15 fours :clap2:

Sussex 222-2, trailing by 454

Turn from Hollman, and a long long afternoon ahead for Sussex.

222 for 2 satisfies me

If we get to 242 for 2 I will be very happy.

I miss Richie Benaud. Without question my favourite Australian

Shocker from George Garton, heaved it straight down the throat of deep midwicket.

250-3, new ball due in 7 overs. 52 overs remaining today.

Pressure on.

Tom Haines gone... not a great shot, tired even, to Murtagh, ends a great captains knock.

Sussex 308-6, (90.1 overs), trailing by 368

...and the next lamb to the slaughter is Delray Rawlins.

Horrible swipe from Delray, Ok it turned a bit but crikey!

... and Sussex are 308-7 at tea, trailing by 368

6 wickets gone for 86 in the session, and the last 3 of those went for just 1 run.

Really poor dismissals for Garton, Ibrahim and now Rawlins - all terrible shots with no thought to the match situation.

Hopefully we can stretch out the last session today and hold on a bit for tomorrow morning. Not looking great now though after a positive start...

We could do with the heavens opening on Thursday

Seeing as the last 6 wickets fell for 12 runs, we might need the heavens to open at 4.30 this afternoon to save this one. :nono:

Not totally kept up with this thread or game, but is it a given they would enforce follow on? Bowlers have been at it a while now.

Might they have a breezy hour or so batting then put us back in right before the close?

Our top order batsmen, particularly Haines, are likely to be a bit tired too. Well, we're now going to see whether their bowlers are tired or not ................... following on.

Hmm, well that ended quickly.

Bat for a day and a half it is then.

Hopefully against a knackered attack

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Its going to be by an innings and a lot.....

There was some abysmal batting by the middle order.

Taking a wider cricketing perspective for a moment, is anybody watching to know whether Hollman's bowling well for his wickets? I gather he's a 20year old leggie who is actually from Middlesex, so if that's right it would be nice to see him do well if it wasn't against us.
