Can't be arsed with football manager games or FIFA type games.

I have lost many years to age of empires.

I think probably Medal Of Honour: Allied Assault on the PC. I was in a clan for about a year so most days I was playing it online either in an organised match or just bumming about on a normal server

FIFA and pro evo. I remember customising a team's players in terms of names, physical appearances and ability, to recreate the Brighton & Hove Albion side of 1979 and played them in the Premier League. Yep, must have seriously lots of spare time back then.

FIFA by some distance, but back in the days of the megadrive II I also spent days on end playing seasons on NHL.

Star Raiders on the Atari many years ago.
Managed to get promoted from Galactic Cook to 2nd Lieutenant after about 3 months!

Then Playstation came along and got hooked on Tomb Raider 1, 2, and 3.

I was Lara Croft!!

Our son was away on holiday and said I could borrow his PS1 for a couple of weeks. So I asked if I could have his Tomb Raider 2 and he said I wouldn't get on with it.
When he came home, I didn't want to give it back to him, so had to go and buy a PS1 and the game for myself.

I spent most of my mid-late teens playing MMORPGs almost constantly outside of my full-time job.

Meridian 59
Ultima Online
EverQuest
Dark Ages of Camelot
Planetside
City of Heroes
World of Warcraft

And numerous others that I only dipped in and out of.

Waitrose. Veg aisles
World of Warcraft ate 6 months of my life over a three year period (that is game time :( ).

Football manager games of any version back to Championship manager 01/02 and EvE online are other ones i've spent a lot of time with.

Civilization, Age of Empires 2 (and its expansion), CM03/04, FM12 (already!),

Though the biggest culprit is:

MINECRAFT. So addictive.

Got a ZX Spectrum for Christmas but it was only 16k (yes - 16k kids!). To play Football Manager I needed a RAM pack to bring it up to a whopping 48k... I had to wait for my birthday in May for this.

Then I lost the next two years to this piece of genius.

GTA San Andreas

Fallout New Vegas

Might as well include Skyrim in this too!

The United Kingdom of Mile Oak
-Flimbos Quest
-FIFA (10,11 and 12)
-Assasins Creed (1 & 2)
-GTA4

Oh my god - Flimbo's Quest!!! I had that on the Amiga and played it the other day what a frustratingly annoyingly addictive game that was - especially those stupid snail things that moved so slow, they were a pain to jump over!!!

I also forgot Fallout 3 & Eye of the Beholder 2 on the Amiga!

I have lost years to gaming, roughly in this order…

Football Manager – Spectrum
Manic Miner – Spectrum (which I never did complete)
Pinball Dreams – Amiga
Kick Off 2 / Goal! – Amiga
Doom – PC
Super Mario All-stars – SNES (possibly the greatest ever games compilation)
Super Mario Kart – SNES
Sim City – SNES
Gran Turismo – Playstation
Ultimate Doom and Final Doom – Playstation (hour after hour after hour with the monsters ultimately invading my dreams)
Halo – Xbox (A truly beautiful game I completed on every level. Sometimes I’d just go and select one of the big battles in the snowy areas, steal a banshee, fly up to the bridge way above the game, and then just watch as the Covenant took on the Flood and I’d occasionally lob a grenade or take a potshot with my sniping gun.)
Burnout Revenge – Xbox
CoD: World at War – Xbox 360
Burnout Paradise – Xbox 360 (Also a truly beautiful game)
CoD: Black Ops – Xbox 360
Battlefield 3 – Xbox 360 (Can’t wait to get home and play it!)

There are stacks of other brilliant games I’ve wasted hours on, but the list above probably had at least 100 hours of my life each.
