Ways to make Britain a better country...

I was just about to put that down to, and cap the costs of getting in to such events to something like £25 - would mean players get paid less, and actually have to work for their money, and people can afford to go and watch

Players getting paid less is exactly the reason why this won't happen. All the best players would bugger off abroad chasing the cash, all the clubs would suffer as a result. Nice idea, but totally unworkable now that sport has spiralled out of control. IMO of course.

How would clubs "suffer"? In Germany, you pay €10 to stand at top flight games in safe, stylish arenas. Sure the quality of play in the top half of the bundesliga isn't as good as in the top half of the prem, but so what? They're paying about an eighth of the price for the privelege, and that league gets the largest crowds in the world.

There is no earthly reason why clubs should need to charge fifty quid a ticket for a league match. It's a disgrace.

Some people will think that way:

ESTJs fear a bankrupt nation that abandons its heritage and its obligation to a prescribed set of standards. Like all SJs, ESTJs feel the need to earn their place in a just society. ESTJs believe that membership is ensured through responsible serving and the threat of being forsaken or cast out will make them feel insecure. They will worry about dereliction of duties and betrayal. The resulting stress can cause ESTJs to redouble their efforts at controlling disorder. In an effort to correct what they feel is out of place, they will direct their anger and frustration at what they consider the irresponsible behavior of others. At these times, others may feel the ESTJ is not responsive to their point of view and is jumping to unjustified conclusions.

Its all in their head. They go around bothering people and accusing them of mucking things up. They ought to chill out and stop being such a nuisance.

We should look at ways to reward those who work and pay taxes. Perhaps a three day weekend once a month (third day paid) and no income tax for the year before you retire.

Force everyone to walk on the left.

I'm fed up having to stop for people that pass on the right - this is the UK not f***ing Europe.

Remove the vast majority of people from this country. I am happy to conduct the interviews as to who can stay and who cannot.

Anyone in 'affordable' sports clothing or sporting labels such as 'Umbro' or 'Rebok' will be shown the door, as will anyone who describes themselves as 'self made'.

What I meant by clubs would suffer is that many of the clubs in this country rely heavily on the money brought in by having so many big names outweighing the money they pay out in wages. If these big names went elsewhere for more money then although the outflow of cash would be less on wages, the inflow would be dramatically reduced too. Consequently the knock on through the leagues would be enormous. Yes, you can watch top flight football in germany for next to nothing, but what about their lower leagues? That sort of idea could see clubs, clubs like Albion, be forced to go semi pro as the cash inflows dwindle even further and the standards of the players gets worse!
