If he's going to stay then what is holding up his signature ??

Some genuine top quality new signings by the Albion is probably what Vicente will want to see before he puts pen to paper. If we don't improve the squad quite a bit, we'll just end up giving Vicente the ball all the time and expecting him to perform miracles. I'd suggest he'll want a bit more quality in midfield and upfront this season if he's gonna stay

And if it is announced soon then it might get rid of more season tickets

Helge must have rubbed his legs very well to encourage him to stay

Maybe Gus should be trying to sign the Chelsea physio - she might be able to persuade Vicente to stay

NOt sure....the lure of home with his little one and a wife who will need a lot of support from family infrastructure may be the telling piece to this puzzle.

If it was football only I would be very positive. Strong Spanish influence at the club, people around him that will ensure he is never feeling isolated, money not the driver but most importantly I would imagine, is a medical team that have for the first time in 5-6 yers given him the belief that he can get fit and keep fit.

But as I say, I fear the pull of warm afternoons, beautiful evenings, family, friends and home may prevent him from taking the option to come back for another season.

Combined with... a strong professional desire to play in England.

Is that itch fully scratched?

One way or another it would be nice to know sooner rather than later. Would be great if Vicente stayed but what we don't want is it dragging on and on till the end of July and even into August. This would be a massive disruption to pre season and plans for the squad. I do not want to see this drawn into an ongoing saga, that's no good for anyone and we may well miss out on other targets..Last thing we want to hear come August is if this and if that had happened. Someone has got to make a stand. No player is bigger than the club, not Vicente not anybody.

I would think the club could run to relocation expenses or lots of cheap flights to Valencia from Gatwick

You'd better let the club know that then, I'm not sure they've thought of that.

Well it wouldn't be the first time we have missed out on targets, while we have been waiting on others only for them to fall though. But nice to see your sticking to true form. Wasn't it last season Poyet wanted everyone in place for pre season. Only to be chasing loans and others as the window was shutting. I'm sure your better informed than most of us, seeing as you claim to know everything..Can't wait to see what you will be saying in a few weeks time lol. At least we can all now forget the guy from Dundee Utd after what Poyet said in the Argus, he certainly knows how to make a possible target feel good.

Gibberish?...So Poyet didn't say last season he wanted everyone in place for pre season?..You have never claimed to know his supposed "long term" plan. And you think by him saying in the Argus "why would we be after the guy from Dundee Utd, when we are waiting on the best player in the championship" to be a bit undermining to the lad?
Interesting.....you really are up the blokes arse aren't you.

I thought we had the option to extend his contract for a year anyway.

Don't understand why we aren't taking that option????
