Stunning, we rode from Grenoble to Turin in '97 on a nearby route, past Huez through Briancon. one of the more memorable scooter rallies!

We’ve been on the roads in yesterday’s and today’s stages en route to ski holidays, it’s beautiful.

Regarding the cycling, a mountain top finish today .

Its shaping up for some potential fireworks, although this early on will probably turn out to be a couple of riders going off with 500 m to go...

Roglič clearly on exceptional form, and a level above his competitors. I'm not convinced he won't have a bad day though.

Poor Sam Bennett will lose the Green Jersey today, his Deceuninck team relatively ambling along.

Handing it to Sagan who’s in a group powering ahead kms in front, with his full team.

Harsh on Deceuninck. Bora absolutely drilled it up the first climb then did not let up for 70km. Fact is Sagan can climb well enough for this pace up climbs, all the other sprinters cannot and were not attentive enough.

As ever, an unpredictable race, Sagan didn‘t have it his own way in the sprint finish.

Until recently unassailable, is he now in decline in mass sprint finishes? We saw this with Cavendish and Cipolini, for example, in the end.

Didn't he ship his chain after bumping with another rider?
