Conspiracy theory. Neither the report, the police nor the Privileges Committee are mentioning the Abba gathering (are we allowed to say party?) It seems as though that inquiry is hands-off. Is that why Johnson and Sunak paid their fines without arguing? Lots of rumours abound.
So many questions and so few answers.
Was the Abba party ever actually referred to in Parliament? Because if it weren't - then the committee wouldn't be able to ask about it, as Johnson the Liar wouldn't have had a chance to mislead Parliament.

All sorts of rumours in the press at time, including their "child care" arrangements over Christmas. However pretty irrelevant to the current inquiry because he wasn't asked about it and didn't have the opportunity to tell a porkie.

Sue Gray didn't look into it because the Police were looking into it at the same time so she couldn't. After the Police decided not to proceed there wasn't much need for her to and in any case it's a "private" residence.

As for the Police not investigating fully, but that's the MET so say no more.

What was the Abba gathering?

It was the precursor to the Cliff Richard gathering when the Sunaks moved in.

All downstairs could hear was "Carrie doesn't live here anymore" on a loop.

Always worth repeating that the IEA is a registered charity and that charity status is supposedly not available for political purposes.
Also always worth repeating that, unlike most other organisations in both the political and charity sector, the IEA refuses to divulge where its funding come from.
Oligarchs doing one over the people.

IEA, TPA, and ERG all based at Tufton Street as well as others that don't spring immediately to mind.

Matthew Elliot is a much better fit in the Tower of London rather than the House of Lords. Traitor.

“Elliott – who was mooted to be on the cusp of joining Sajid Javid’s team as an adviser after he was made chancellor in 2019 – was a prominent member of Conservative Friends of Russia, a group which has been accused of uncritically supporting Putin.”
