The Withdean Pitch is Underwater

Afternoon people.

Sorry to tell you this, but I am looking out of my Dad's study window at the pitch, and 75% of it is currently underwater.

There is a lake stretching from one goal to the other, 40 yards wide. There is all but no chance of tomorrow's game going ahead.

I am more gutted than most, having driven 80 miles down here for the game.

The whale, owned by Sussex CCC, is one hell of a beast for clearing up surface water. If necessary, the Albion can borrow that. Although one time they borrowed it, they returned it clogged up with sand - Sussex were NOT happy.
