Yes. when I read threads like this, full of The Spanish's pseudo intellectualising and muddled metaphors I realise that even the modicum of intelligence I have been blessed with far outshines most of the moronic drivel on this and similar threads. I weep for the future.

Some of us werent shunted out to public schools because our parents didnt love us.

Moving this debate on a little. I was wondering can your religious beliefs ever be compatable with your political beliefs?

Atheist myself but Trevor Huddlestone, Canon Collins, Dr Martin Luther King, Ghandi among others suggest they can.

Alternatively, Ian Paisley, Gerry Adams, George W. Bush, Tony Blair, Bin Laden and Geert Wilders would all probaly claim the same synergy although many of us might believe it brings less credit to their faith.

Hasn't politics replaced religion to a certain extent?

Its difficult to have an oil based religious strategy.

So if you serve in the Church of England it will soon become illegal to be a member of the BNP (like it or not a legal party) Fair enough you might say ? However why not SWP after all those on the far left are pretty good at 'removing' any oppostition. I agree that membership of both the clergy and the Bnp don't fit as both ideals and beliefs of each are at opposing ends of the scale. However banning is not the answer.:wave:

What's Shaun Wright-Phillips got to do with all of this?

Not sure...is it that half of the protagonists on this thread would like to lynch him?

I am sure the later that you speak of may be sincere in their religious beliefs but are they compatable. Religion and politics is an odd if not dangerous mix.

I have been reading recently about Jim Jones and the Peoples Temple. How he turned Socialism into a religion very odd.

Trevor Huddlestone is overrated IMHO. How he got in the England squad recently is beyond me.

And Luther King is always injured.
