The ice/snow on our window cills, roof and gutters has started to melt - the thaw is here!

Looking at the amount of snow on your roof compared to other houses is one way of checking how good your roof insulation actually is. Hopefully you'll still have lots.

Absolutely bugger all here, not even a sniff of a flurry!! It looks like some of it is melting slightly now.....but then again last Tuesday the frost thawed and it started to drizzle followed by heavy snow so you never know!!

The road over the Downs to Saddlescombe & also the Devil Dyke road is both closed.
Went for a run (struggled in places, up there). More than a foot deep in places. Plenty of skiers out & all sorts of winter sports taking place on the Downs. There was a 10 minute snow storm this morning that must have added a couple of centimetres too.

As for Hove, is slowly melting, however its going to take a while. The temperature has been 1 degree most of the pm
