We had a blizzard for 25 minutes and an inch of snow is laying.
Now blue sky is appearing

Just had a complete white-out here in Polegate for about 10 minutes and dumped about and inch in that short time.
Sun's just come back out again and blue sky back.

This morning's message from Graeme at the Met Office to all the local authorities in the south east ...

The main problem we, as forecasters, are having is that the computer models are having difficulties in agreeing on the precise track of a small scale weather system which will be running across the UK during Saturday. A track across the south of England will bring us all potentially a lot of snow while one further south limits the extent of any snow.

Good to see that with the subset of information us amateurs get access to we came up with the same conclusion regarding the difficulty in forecasting this feature... and he uses the same language as well...

Yes it is - it's the same stuff that everyone north of you had and it does stop very completely and very abruptly.

You weren't kidding, were you? Preston Park has just had a blizzard, and it's now stopped with blue sky ahead. Looks like about 1/2 inch has settled.
