Blokes, of course, always just say fat. Quite right too. But girls say things like:

"Have you noticed, hasn't she got lovely SKIN".

"such a good laugh on a night out"

"you'd be amazed how many blokes chat her up"
usually said to you when your mrs is recounting her night out when she gets in pissed and full of her mates, as if miraculously you had momentarily forgotten how blokes think and are prepared to believe such bollocks for a millisecond.

A friend of mine had put on some pounds and I overheard a slim lady saying to another person "Looks like someone's been avoiding the salad cart". A nod to the salad intolerant comment above.

Another one I have noticed is "She has lovely hands".

Mrs TRHK points out that larger women often have very well kept nails as some kind of alternative to making the effort to lose weight. Look around and you'll see it's true.

"She's got such a beautiful smile"

("Yeah, she's probably chuffed because she's just been given her own postcode" - *Thwack!*)

Or sometimes it's a simple " she's a slightly, y'know, BIG girl", the last two words often (for some reason) said either in a slightly different accent or lower register.
