I think it depends on what the ball is doing at the moment and how the pitch is holding up. If it is starting to look dodgy then it might be worth batting to get a lead of 300 ish tonight while there is still some life in it. If its really bad then stick em back in.

Tricky one. Lead now of around 180 means that if we bat we would have to bat part of tomorrow to bat them out of the game which means we'll give ourselves only around 75 overs to bowl them out. I think they have to make them follow on.

it seems good conditions for bowling, so stick them back in, get 4/5 more wickets today, skittle them by lunch tomorrow, and maybe knock off the 60 runs needed for victory

257 allout Sussex lead by 169 - I'd be quite happy to bat again and try and blitz out 150 before the close and then think about setting them 320 to win on the last day - but then again why not send them straight back in. Quite happy to have the problem
