Am I right in thinking that this is the first "poll" of any kind by anyone "anti" in Lewesland to guage public opinion?

If so, after how many years since B&H held the referendum? And it's still only a bloody local rag on-line poll!!

No. Just before the 2005 LDC meeting at which Tim Carder and I were making a nuisance of ourselves by presenting a massive petition and asking awkward public questions, the Sussex Express ran a poll on the subject of the Council's stance. David Neighbour made the point that LDC were "winning" the vote - a situation which was mainly explained by the fact that only about half a dozen people had known about the poll, and one that was later turned round within minutes of NSC getting on the case.

The final result was about 85% in our favour.
