Man of Harveys said:When it's indoors, i.e. not like the misnamed Ricoh Arena.
It's a bit of tautologousness. It's HYdromatic. It's GREASED LIGHTNIN'Berk (of 'Trapdoor' fame) said:Then why is the Birmingham Indoor Arena so called? Surely the Indoor bit is superfluous?
SJ's Love Monkey said:Ricoh Arena
Sincil Bank
Saltergate
The Shay

Dave the Gaffer said:I am not very keen on calling grounds by a sponsors name although in these days of corporate naming rights, I can understand why we do it.
Old Trafford
Anfield
Goodison park
Tanadice
The New Den
Leeds Road
Highbury
Now we have
The Reebok Stadium
The Galpharm Stadium
The JJB Arena
The Emirates Stadium
The thing is , they could be anywhere. If Wigam change their sponsors, the ground will not be JJB, it could just as well as be Heinz Cheezy Peez stadium.
I am from the old school....Falmer to me will always be the New Goldstone, never teh Amex Arena, or Phoenix Brewery Stadium
Statto said:How about The Lawn. Forest green rovers used to play there.
Basil Fawlty said:I agree with most of that, but when we move into Falmer it will not be called The New Goldstone, I've got a feeling it will be called The Community Stadium.
