SpVvg' Greuther Furth's PLAYMOBIL Stadium - scene of MSV Duisburg's miraculous comeback last Friday.

Should be an easy three points at home to bottom club WACKER Burghausen on Sunday. So they'll probably lose; the mighty Zebras are remarkably Albion-like in that respect.

The new one of their current one? Prefer it to Withdean or Falmer?

right:

what is the differance between a STADIUM, and a GROUND?

when can you start calling something a STADIUM?
I think a ground becomes a stadium when you have a substantial enough number of buildings enclosing the playing area. :geek:

so how was withdean a STADIUM when it only had two stands?
Good point, fuctifino. I guess it's NATURALLY enclosed anyway.

hmmm

so maybe a STADIUM is just an enclosed sporting arena, of some kind?
Yes, yes, absolutely *nods violently, cricks neck*

After all, as I did to watch that American football game in 1985, you could always stand on the slope behind what is now the away end at Withdean, even when it was just GRASS.

And arenas should always be enclosed - Coventry are being pretentious. Even if it's just the Latin (and, I think Spanish) word for "sand".

When is a stadium an arena?
When it's indoors, i.e. not like the misnamed Ricoh Arena.

so, what if it has a retractable roof?

for example, is the millenium stadium REALLY a stadium, or is it an arena?
If they followed Ajax and Schalke's lead, it should be an arena.
