Who would you suggest is big enough to warrant opening the stadium though?

Southampton opened St Mary's with a match against the Albion, can you imagine if their fans had the same attitude as on here? Yet their match sold out.

Doesn't have to be big, could be significant historically- we played the first and last match at the dell. Spurs just seems like a pretty average fixture; not a huge club and of no historical relevance.

spurs, chelsea, arsenal, real madrid... personally im not wasting my first amex experience on a friendly. ONLY exception Barca! Would love doncaster for first league game.

Anyone who thinks Spurs aren't a big enough club for a pre-season friendly for us really needs their head checking. Fair enough if you don't like them but come on, get a grip. I'm pleased with this, they've got their fair share of dickhead fans, like any club, but I thoroughly enjoyed the FA Cup game up there and found most of their fans to be knowledgable about Brighton and very welcoming.
