I was joining in the general mood of optimism. After all I was given the tip off that we were very close in signing Reiner Bonhoff back in the late 70's and that nearly came off.

On a serious note, the signing of Bruno has really ramped up our expectations which are on the whole really unrealistic For Gus to say that they are after a sensational signing, then we can only be disappointed unless it really is a player we recognise. How many people actually knew who Vicente Rodrigues actually was when we signed him...sure we may have vaguely heard of him....

Maybe it will be a player of klose's standing, but I am still of the opinion it will be a foreign striker.

Just got home from work, in the space of about thirty mins before I left, I was told we have signed and player for £5million and it could potentially be Esteban cambiasso......then came home to see a thread about raul and essien......then opened this to see it's going to be klose!
