It's not just Casper with the silly mistakes - its just that when it's his turn it's usually a goal or nearly a goal IMHO

The simple fact is a good keeper is worth 3-6 points a season, which will probably make all the difference come May.

Brian Clough always said that Peter Shilton was worth 20 points to any team that he played for.

To be honest, it is no longer even in question. Gus WILL buy a goalkeeper in January.

There have been too many errors that have directly cost points, and Ankergren has had the humiliation of being dropped, replaced with a loanee, and only restored when Harper had gone. He KNOWS Gus doesn't have full confidence in him, and that is making an already bad situation worse.

Ankergren, although hes a really nice bloke, is a terrible keeper. Can't catch, just flaps, hardly makes a save, just seems to stare at the ball, and makes too many mistakes which have cost us many points since he arrived.

1. A Goalkeeper who isnt going to make big blunders non stop
2. A centre mid who can give the game that little bit extra in the centre
3. A foward who a) is a proven goal scorer at this level & B) give the help CMS needs also.

then if we have any more funds

This is a tough call-

It would appear Gus does not rate Peter or Michael as understudies? as why else would we have snapped up Harper on loan recently? other than no other reason than he was a too good a keeper to turn down?

We are in a funny situation with our so called 3 good keepers,none of which when crunch time comes seem to be good enough in peoples eyes.

We do need another keeper but the priority must be a box to box midfielder a la Andrew Crofts and a goalscorer. A keeper can wait until the summer.

No a keeper is obviously a priority Casper is not good enough for this division and he knows it ,his confidence is shot to pieces
