The original has Jimmy stealing a boat and taking it to an island where he contemplates his lot, leaving us none the wiser.

Using a different piece of machinery, I think this was always the idea for the end of the rock opera/film.

Just watched this corker of a film, just wondered does Phil Daniels commit suicide in the end or does the ending coincide with the start of the film whereby he walks away from the cliff edge?

Its all a loop , the beginning is the end , the end is the beginning.

• A Who album at the party on Kitchener Road was from 1974.
• Pictures on Jimmy's bedroom wall of The Who from 1968.
• When they're coming into Brighton, and Jimmy screams 'that is Brighton...', it actually shows Eastbourne.
• Types of scooter not available in the 1960s
• If the film is set in summer 1965, they shouldn't have been singing 'My Generation'
