Now I didn't vote for him as player of the season, and he may have been a spoilt brat, but when we lost Leon, we not only lost a decent striker but we also lost our most creative midfielder as well. He had the vision for the killer ball - even if half the time his fellow strikers failed to anticipate it.

Now Sebs been great and gets my vote, but like it or not, the turning point of our season - the difference between staying up and going down - was the falling out of favour and subsequent departure of Leon. Since he's been gone we've been absolutely clueless in the final third.

Yeah, but this is not the most improved player poll, it's the player of the season and in a season full of mediocre preformances Gary has yet again got his head down, not complained and done a job.

Bit depressing that many of the votes for Player of the Season seem to be on the basis that they "tried hard".
