You had much more of the ball, but didn't do a great deal with it in the final third.

We were poor overall. Have been most of the season, but we're a young side and the squad is small.

We had an excellent chance of 3 points today and we blew it, simple!! Probabaly one of our easiest games remaining in all honesty.

They are not a good team and have beaten us twice. What they do have, are the parachute payements - and so can afford a decent squad. Austin is their third choice striker isn't he ? When the parachute payments run out - they will be stuffed.

Hmmm. We've got a squad of barely 20 players. Most of our Premier League squad has been moved on and we began the process of meeting the new financial fair play rules last summer. The only high earners left are the dross signed by Brian Laws 2 years ago. Most of Howe's signings have been lower league players for modest sums. Jay Rod will leave this summer and then, you're right, we will be stuffed.

Pre January our squad was pretty thin ...and just up from league one

The back of the programme was amusing. You had your twenty players - and we had ths great long list that included development players like Anton Rogers (son of the Swansea manager) who have not been near the first team squad (prepares to be corrected). You do have some attacking players though.

The best player was Trippier - shame he is a loanee. Apart from that bit of play-acting in the corner.

just seen someone post on another thread about how poor he thought dicker was today.(

what id really like to see is a more attacking line up at home ie, only 1 defensive midfielder. All season Gus has been very cautious in his approach to games by selecting defensive minded players, but i guess he's got it right considering where we are in the league. Mind you, we have rode our luck at times. Razak, and vicente together would be nice. probabaly get stuffed 0-5!!! Tut tut

Thankfully Trippier signed permanently in Jan for about £200k. May be the best bit of business we've done in years.
