Anyone noticed that the big crane hasn't actually let go of the arch yet?

I think it has, arn't those big orange poles what it uses to lift the arch and they've been disconnected for most of the day

My guess they will want at least a couple of struts fitted first before they will release it for stability.

Looks like they've fixed the problem with the dog's head/arch interface. Look closely and you can see that they've pushed little bits of cardboard into the joint.

I've been out since 12.30 (took the family to see Avatar) so had no idea the rafters were going up - I thought the whole arch would be put in place first. Great to see so much going on now.

Do those struts and the weight of the roof at the back create a cantilever to hold up the arch?
