Unless they can turn round a 41 goal deficit, Charlton now cannot catch us

Unless they can turn around a 30 point deficit in 9 games, Charlton now cannot catch us.

No, minimum top 8.

Correct, just worked it out so only the 7 clubs below can catch us

So turning it round those that can are:

Rochdale, Leyton Orient, Bournemouth, MK Dons, Peterborough Southampton and Huddersfield

But, as someone will point out, some of them have to play each other...

Indeed they knock each other out of the equation.

Doesn't matter at the moment, they can all make more than 80 points like this:

No change to this graph (rochdale should have 57 points, but have one fewer game to play, so their season total is still the same - it seemed pointless redoing the image for that)

As you can see, for orient and rochdale to overtake us, they reduce the totals of huddersfield and peterborough. If rochdale are taken out of the equation the other six can overtake us. But as it stands, due to games to be played, at least one team will not make more points than we currently have.

With Rochdale and orient wins, Bournemouth and southampton can catch us on points, so that would come down to goal difference.

Huddersfield aren't playing Rochdale again (there's a zero in your Huddersfield column). So by inference Hudds should have another 3 points from 'others', bringing them up to 84.

And Southampton still have 10 to play, not 9 - or are you assuming they will get 0 from playing us? :clap2:

Either way, it is immaterial as it's all about the fight for 2nd place for these teams. :clap2:

I think that'#s from where I removed charlton from the table and forgot to add the game on to southampton's other games to play. Not sure what the hudderfield thing was, I'll when I get home.
