Famous or infamous people you have met or seen on a train ....

I sat opposite the guy who played La Di da Gunner Graham in "It Ain't Half Hot Mum" on the Victoria to Brighton train a good few years ago

Also sat next to actress Jane Horrocks on a long journey from London to Manchester

didn't talk to either of them!

more ......???

My ex and I met on a train. We were stood there, looking at each other, but never actually said a word. Then some bloke puked all down my arm, she burst out laughing and a five-year relationship ensued. Trains rock! As do random people who vomit, strangely.

When my Dad used to work for British Caledonian he managed to get me a free flight to Hong Kong in first class. I was a scruffy fifteen year old football supporter, but he told me to wear a shirt and tie so that we would fit in with the type of people who fly first class. The last people to board, and sat in front of us, were Billy Connelly and two of his mates, they all looked like Big Issue sellers - so much for my Dads advice. Later we also spotted the actor Gordon Jackson, he was next to us in the queue for duty free at Dubai.

Bellotti on a train back fro Swansea in 1997.

Met Sanjay out of Eastenders, and Carol Vorderman on the train, though not the same one.

Met Des Lynam on a flight to Cyprus the day after the playoff final. What a top bloke, chatted for hours.

Hmm ... the bloke who played the Vicar in short-lived CBBC show Out of Tune. Mega-celeb that he was, his bodyguards wouldn't let anyone near him, sadly.

Sat down opposite Robin Day once many moons ago. He was off to the libDem conference in Bournemouth.

Oh and some actor whose name escapes me on the way back from Scarborough last year.

Just remembered ... bumped into (literally) the former super fat Liberal MP Cyril Smith at Euston station once .... the guy was enormous and his PA had to help him through the train carriage doorway ... almost eased him in so he wouldnt get stuck!
