The sad fact is though that Kerry is well past his sell by date. Loyal servant he may be but Championship left back he most certainly is not. If McGhee hasn't seen the light tonight, I doubt he ever will.

It was obvious to all of us when Dan Harding left that we would need a new left back but so far there are no signs of one arriving. We need to address this urgently in the January transfer window. Two strikers and two creative midfielders would also be nice.

Didn't go tonight, so couldn't comment on his performance. Went to Southampton v Sheff Utd. Nathan Dyer is going to cause us [Kerry] some big trouble. Asides from that Southampton were average.

To even it up though Carole is going to destroy Cranie.

For all the hype Walcott's no Wayne Rooney.

Shipperley played okay. If the rumours touted on here of him plus cash for Leon are true we'd have done okay. Can't see it though.

As a Saints regular now :)() its clear Walcott is brilliant. His pace is just sensational. We can get something from Saints. They love to knock it about, they're not very direct, and we can get two banks of 4 and deal with them. Fuller is a fouling bastard though. Shoves the defenders all over the place. Guy and McShane will have a tough job. Quashie is a beast in midfield, not sure how to deal with him, sublime skill.

We will struggle to field to banks of four!

I think we ought to get Butters out of the team, play McShane and El-Abd at the back and play Frutos and Carole on the wings, with Carpenter and Fraser in the middle.
