Time to put those prejudices to one side and judge on what he is doing currently.

Exactly this. I most certainly didn't vote for him and still can't quite believe the amount of people who did but he is speaking with a degree of intelligence and straight talking and nowhere close to the bluster and idiocy of Trump. He and the advisers may be wrong but at least they are clearly and concisely explaining their thinking.

a politician basing his entire reaction to events based on "scientific advice" can of course fully allay blame if it goes tits up on the scientific experts - thus of course nothing would be politicians fault

A politician being totally open and honest, isn’t that what we have been crying out for?

I have not been a big Boris fan but he’s doing OK in the current crisis imo

Chances are that most of us are going to be getting this virus sooner or later imo

A lot of politicans you would generally consider dirty scumbags often do well in these types of situations.

These Trump/Johnson type of guys obviously have some type of quality that makes a lot of people vote for them, and if you add a humbling situation to tune down their giant cockheads, they could be equally good or better than the politicans sensible people normally would vote for.

Even Trump looked like a little kitten last night, it was pretty good to see.

History will certainly judge - as it always does, you know, hindsight being a wonderful thing and all that. It seems you’ve already made your judgement despite the fact that no one really knows how this is all going to pan out. We can only be advised by scientific and medical experts as to what they believe is the best course of action. Let’s leave it there for the moment - unless of course you have a mind boggling alternative solution that no one else has thought of.

Having watched the press conference, both the Chief Medical Officer and the Chief Scientist come across very well.

But there is now a large divide between this country’s actions and that of all other countries.

We are now relying on many of the poorer in our society to stop work for seven days because of a cough. I’m sorry but that is plainly laughable and absolutely impractical for a lot of people.

Presumably we differ in our response because of our health service which is behind most others in critical care facilities

Top Brexit so far guys, really great stuff. A few months in and a massive health crisis. Just imaging what it will be like in a few years :ffsparr:

Astonishing how many countries around the globe left the EU at the same time, and none of us noticed.
Well done for discovering it Kojak.

Efficacity.

It just means effectiveness - the word anyone normal - trying to actually INFORM his audience, rather than trying to come across as 'clever', would have used.

Derived from efficacious which surely an awful lot of people know from Lily the Pink, that fine hit record by The Scaffold.

Are you for real?

What the hell has this virus got to do with Brexit?

I'll tell you what........ absolutely nothing.

This is a global medical health crisis that has nothing to do with politics.

Except cheap political point scoring
