I automatically put the phone down, and never rang or saw her again.

Even though I did get annoying phone calls from her to explain why, but I was having none of it.

You are absolutely certain she wasn't having an asthma attack at the time? :)

I always thought that Crawley was too far away for a good relationship so I can't understand how people can make relationships work when they are hundreds or thousands of miles apart. But each to their own.

You haven't had a shag for 8 months and you spend time on NSC on the night she returns to your arms.

Bet I can beat most long distance relationship tales. Thanks to university and "need to see the world" commitments, the first 5 years of my life with the current Mrs Trufflehound went roughly as follows:

1 year - Me: Cardiff; Mrs T: Cardiff :clap2: :clap2:
1 year - Me: Hove; Mrs T: Madrid
9 months - Me: Hove; Mrs T: Cardiff
3 months - Me: Hove; Mrs T: Majorca
1 year - Me: Hove; Mrs T: Cardiff
5 months - Me: Canada; Mrs T: Swansea
1 month - Me: New Zealand; Mrs T: New Zealand :clap2: :clap2:
6 months - Me: Australia; Mrs T: Holland

I can't pretend it was all plain sailing throughout that time and there were no dodgy moments, but if you both want something to work enough, then it can.

Having said that, the last 17 years since we managed to co-ordinate our lives and be in the same country as each other have been WAY better...

Mine is 250 miles away in Manchester but I am looking to move there. I wove her so.

more specifically, she's in my bed, waiting for me to return.

when she tells you she's having a good time up here, she's not lying.

Brilliant. Did you think of that one all by yourself or just copy and paste sections from the other 2 million jokes along those lines on here?
