Eh? How come Hooper's 46 not out then?

It was Keedy who was out.
Weird.

Both Ceefax and the Cricinfo website reported the fifth wicket as Hooper out.

In the light of yesterday's local election results in some parts of Lancashire, I hesitate to play the race card here. But surely Keedy is a tall, blond bloke and Carl Hooper isn't?

I guess the error is another example of political correctness gone mad.

"Who was that who got out?"

"I wasn't watching too carefully. I think it was the chap with the green stripe on his batting gloves".

"Isn't that Hooper?"

"Think so."

A true story. Sussex were playing Lancashire at Hastings and some bloke asked my dad which Lloyd was which, as he got David and Clive mixed up. My father, who was a wind-up merchant supreme, said with a straight a face as possible. "It's easy to tell them apart, Clive is the one wearing glasses". The geezer thanked my dad for the info and walked off, seemingly content - much to my father's amusement.
