Dear Gus,

When we next play at home, could you please select a team that is set up to have a reasonable chance of winning the game and aim to attack the opposition from the off? What is the point of having built a big pitch, with width and then leave our two wingers on the bench? In short, when we play at the AMEX can we start to play as if we are the home team FFS. It looked as if we were set up today in the hope of sneaking a 1-0 win, or getting a draw, which, frankly, is just not good enough. And by the way, we DO need another striker, even a blind man could see that.

An increasingly disillusioned (but long term) supporter.

Where's Noonie when you need him?
I NEVER slagged him, and everyone I know, were massive fans of Noone. (Of course, there were a few on nsc who said no end product, and spoke in contrast as LuaLua as some kind of messiah :lolol:)

Gus got excited that we banked £1.5m. So what. Hold onto your best players.

A flat day, again!!!
Albion players were 1/2 asleep for 65 minutes.
Boro outpassed, out possessioned, and outplayed us at a technical game.
Woodgate, Bikey & Co outclassed our Football League standard forwards.

It seemed like the balls over the top for CMS to run on to always sent him out wide (either because of direction it was passed, or CMS's poor first touch). Then you have CMS on the wing trying to cross into a box where there are no brighton players.

A recurring theme from the last three games is our failure in that final thid due to constantly trying to cross the ball and either:
1) Playing it softly into the keepers hands (Birmingham)
2) Playing it into areas where we have no players (ipswich)
3) Playing it high against a defence that are all bigger than our tallest player (Boro)
4) Trying to cross into an area that is crowded out by opposition players (Birmingham, Ipswich, Boro).

Gus you have taken the Albion as far as you can.
Your inability to find a prolific scorer is now beyond you & the team is drifting.
Please do the decent thing & leave.
There won't be a shortage of other managers who will find us a team that knows how to score.
One goal in 4 games. Donnie is not up to it, Barnes neither & your track record in the past for forwards has Been awful.
We will always be thankful for what you have achieved at BHA but for the sake of the club leave before you are sacked.
The next two games are away & then Leeds at home. Leave with some dignity. We don't need you or want you now. You have reached the pinnacle.

Based on the last 4 games we will finish this season nearer the bottom of the table than the top. And we apparently have a better team?

Four points off the top. One or two points off promotion (haven't checked). Their keep was SHAKY, a few shots of target with people following in would have been a goal IMO,

Lets be honest, we dominated and they got a lucky goal. Personally I would of had Buckley ahead of Spanish dave, haven't been impressed with him or dobbin so far.

Oh hello, you again. Do you only crawl out of your hole when Brighton haven't won in three games?

Isn't it about time we bought some more midfielders?

Blue print first established worryingly by Freedman in Sept11, when playing the Albion:

1. Sit back, absorb the pressure ... the Albion's championship goals per game average is astonishingly poor.
2. Try long range shots, they leak them.
3. Hit them on the counter with pacy forwards.
4. El Abd, Hammond, CMS and some others are not very balanced natural-born footballers. If we get our passing game together, these individuals will be chasing shadows.
5. Mark Buckley, Bridge and Bruno closely, and you've killed their potency.

Some of the posts on here are a joke.

48 games in a season and you are playing the hardest type of style to master, every game is a learning experience and if you keep to your principles you will come out the other side as a PL team.

Three games in a row now (Brum, Ipswich and Middlesbrough) the oppo have come here, set up 4-4-2 and soaked up what we have thrown at them (2 losses, one draw). The oppo managers know how we play now, so defend deep, in two lines of four, work their socks off to close down our attacks, and try to nick a goal along the way (three games, three single oppo goals (and our equaliser against Ipswich of course )). The tactics we used to use of knocking it about at the back until they came looking for the ball aren't working in this division, and the players don't seem to have enough guile to pick the lock. We had some good chances today that weren't taken, but it has to be said we worked bloody hard all over the pitch and were unlucky not to get a point...
