Spiders good, we LIKE spiders. They eat nasty flies, disease spreaders that want to land on your dinner after walking all over fresh shit. They also want to lay eggs in your fruit and the dog/cat's food, which can give intestinal worms.
They'll nosh awful mosquitos that want to drink through your skin, gorging on your very life's blood at night while you sleep.

Spiders web up near windows, and other places where flies get in - then they stop flies very efficiently, and are happy to kill and dispose of them.
