Not at all different in many cases. We're not the only species to have hearts, kidneys, livers, stomachs - the list goes on. If it's likely that a product could aid a sick kidney or liver it's obviously got to be tested somewhere - where would you suggest?

COSMETIC TESTING ON ANIMALS IS f***ing BOLLOX. They don't have the same skin etc as humans which makes the testing less effective. You can't get the same result testing on a mouse to see how something might react on a human.

If you ask me they should use murders, rapists, peodophiles (sp.) etc to fuckin test on and save tax payers money for them staying in a jail penthouse.

Which would be an effing superb idea, except you would get the Human Rights Liberation Front releasing the bastards at night. We have enough trouble keeping them in prison without breaching their right to watch telly, read porn and take Class A drugs without trying to drop cosmetic shite in their eyes.

However, to be honest, there are some organs in animals which replicate closely human organs. And despite being a hunting shooting fishing fascist, I can't justify cosmetic testing on animals, any more than I agreed with hunting. There are more effective ways of doing both.
