If all this is true, why the f*** are you a steward ?

Oh for buddha's sake!
I just f***ing explained enough for even the dullest of dullards to 'get' why a person stewards if it's not for money, and here's a new one in line!

Please, take a guess, or ask someone else to explain.
...and I am not going to go belittling the pay that stewards make - it's probably about right, and some stewards are likely to be doing it for money so good luck to them.

(here's a little underline to keep your, and pnfe's brain cells vibrating; I can make more money by not stewarding. Mind blowing, isn't it? )

Ah yes. That well known route to retirement for captains of industry - steward at Withdean. Strange that a CV as rich and varied of yours hasn't secured a chief steward role but hey man! You still get to wear a hi res jacket.

Living the dream.

psst - you have no idea what status I have in stewarding, or if "securing a chief steward role" would be an agenda - or not. So why not stop making a complete goon of y'self and quit while you are behind.

Being a steward you get paid for watching the game in between acting like a nazi stormtrooper

No no, my ultimate DREAM was to sit in the stands every home-game, next to YOU

But then that would mean you having to buy a ticket instead of being paid a pittance to stand and watch a crowd of people enjoying themselves. And you'd need to bring your own hi-res jacket.

Sorry about mentioning you not being a chief steward. I hadn't appreciated how much it bothers you.

Yay! You living the dream, dude.

Excellent, a slow burning binfest, is it worth pulling up a chair? I think it might be.

I can see the desperation increasing in your every post pnfe, so do please keep working on this 'fine effort'. :lolol:

Got me bang to rights, NMH. Hi-res jacket envy. If only I could reach for the stars, like you have.

Just think, if you hadn't been such a rip roaring success, you'd have ended up a bitter old misanthrope.

Erm........ I hate to point this out old bean, but you seem to be the one with a problem about my lofty position, not me (especially if I get that sten gun, but I digress).
Put away your foibles and your anger, join the Withdean SS - and one day we will parachute into Falmer to force PEACE on everyone, jawohl, peace

You seem a bit befuddled. One post, you're telling me to stop posting, another telling me to carry on. A few posts ago you told me that I would never be a steward and now you've got the application form in the post for me.

I'll decline, thanks. In the words of Father Dougal: it's too much responsibility too soon. Besides, I can't commit to the 3 years apprenticeship of eating crayons and wearing trainer nappies. Fret not, a young padwan will come forward to fill your hi-res jacket.

what would have been your solution to all the problems that your comitted socialist friends had heaped upon us during the winter of discontent ?

then as now rid ourselves of all the people who are quequeing up to get their snouts in the trough.
we did have then at least some decent MP's and some you might be surprised to hear from me were tories..... those who stood up to be counted when eventually she did go GA-GA.

You don't do stewarding for the money ? Then what do you do it for ?did you fail the refs exam or something ? I can't think of many more unrewarding jobs.

Similar to referees, if there wasn't any stewards there wouldn't be any professional matches.

I always think it really funny on here, in the midst of people having complete opposite views , you have a mini war going on and people posting around them.

Its a very interesting phenomena

Lets hope it becomes a major operation.

Of course it is under. Labour (mis)rule, the differnce is , the french government, whether left or right wing , puts france first, end of story

Yeah, and you know why that is, don't you? Cos French workers have a proud history of taking direct and hard-hitting strike action to remind the government to act in the best interests of the French people.
