Apparently looking to fill the left back spot with Aly Cissokho. If they cover the LB position they are undoubtedly a much stronger team than they were last year. Downing is a good signing for them and is the first time they have had a proper winger since Albert Riera, who played a lot when Liverpool finished 2nd!
