I think the Saints game is as big as Palace now, given the recent history.
CRAP. Come on Harty you know better than that.

Perhaps the lost generation might think that but for any long serving albion fan shirley not!
I can only assume you forgot your medication this morning
That's the spirit. It's amazing how injuries always take longer to get over when the team arnt doing well, so much easier to sit it out than stand up and be counted. Barring Greer/El Abd and a few others, we have got a team of lightweights.........Anyway I'm quite happy to see a midfield four of --Lualua---Bridcutt---Caskey---Buckley--....personally I think that may be as good a midfield four as you could pick.
I fancy us to get something out of tomorrow. Our luck has to change soon. I'd like to see KLL start.
The pressure is all on Southampton tomorrow because we are the underdogs for once. If I had any vCash left I would have lumped it all on a Brighton victory.

How does this work?I don't think Poyet has a clue what his best side is. Because mine would involve ....
Luck has nothing to do with our current run of form
There must be an age thing happening here. I can't imagine why anyone would say the Saints game comes anywhere near Palace. It's an utterly ridiculous thing for anyone who has been supporting the club for longer than a year to say.
Definitely this - it's 67 miles away!
Walsall played Sheffield Weds on Boxing Day - Walsall is about the same distance from Sheffield as Southampton is from Brighton but you'd have have got some very strange looks from Weds fans if you'd called it a derby game.
I know, that's who I'm talking about!
Does distance play a part? After all Palace is over 40 miles away and they have plenty of clubs nearer to them.
How much does distance play a part? After all Palace is over 40 miles away and they have plenty of clubs nearer to them.
As for your Walsall example; Nottingham is the same distance from Walsall as Palace is to Brighton. Could you suggest Walsall and Forest is a derby?
Who are more worried about each other chelsea/fulham, chelsea/ spurs (strangely) west ham/millwall and west ham spurs again strangely and spurs/arse etc. Qpr/chelsea etc
No one gives a f*** about orient or charlton
It's a fair point but there are special circumstances with Brighton due to the lack of alternatives. Until Crawley came into the league, Palace was our nearest club so there's some rationale for calling it a derby game.
Strictly speaking, a derby game should be really local - or at the most, 20 miles away, but some clubs would have problems with that. You could take Plymouth and Exeter as an example - they would see their games as local derbies but they're about the same distance as Palace and Brighton too.
But even with the special circumstances of Brighton's geographic position, I can't see that a team 67 miles away is a derby match.
