he seems to have one good year, then a shit one

2004-05: good as we stayed up
2005-06: shit as we go down
2006-07: player of the season
2007-08: shit so far

question is, will wilkins drop him? hardly likely given the alternatives

No he wont as he has made him club captain. Would like to see O'Callaghan do the going forward role as appossed to Hammond though.

Hammond needs to be dropped based on recent performances-captain or not. He is dreadful these days-somebody should remind him that he isn't out for a Saturday afternoon jog between 3pm and 4:55pm. One thing's for sure-he isn't the captain that our midfield needs.

Sorry Hammond fans.

I'd agree. Make O'Call the captain and break the bank to sign him asap

This is our top scorer you are talking about.

I really don't think he has been as bad as some people are making out.

This season he has put in some excellant tackles and his distribution has been pretty good.

He is also our top scorer. (Yes, I know that 3 were penaltys :D )

He certainly gets on my teamsheet, ahead of Loft and Fraser.

With all due respect, Dougdeep, he is the penalty taker. He should have scored before half time today and it may have been a very different game if he had.

If he is dropped, I would love to see O'Callaghan operating further up the field with Fraser cleaning up at the back.

Although I am not sure we should drop him. I don't think he has been as bad as some people like to make out.

Apathetic performance and missed a sitter that was harder to miss than score.

9 times out of 10, he would have scored that.

In the words of José....

I think it's more a case of O'Callahan showing him up.

Don;t think so, against Millwall they were both superb.

Problem is there is no one else at the moment - Hammond at his best is great, when he is poor he is anonymous. And who else is there?

I would like to see O'Callaghan playing a bit further forward, as he seemed to against Millwall.
