Read this in the Exeter paper today, but hadn’t seen it quoted previously:

Greer completed his move to the Withdean Stadium on Monday, after a £250,000 bid for his services was accepted. The defender said he had enjoyed his time with the Robins, but he says a breakdown in his relationship with club chairman Andrew Fitton proved instrumental in the transfer.

Greer said: "When Swindon first knocked back Brighton's offer I spoke to the chairman about negotiating a new deal, but he wouldn't do it. It was very disappointing. The chairman said he wouldn't speak to me about it until October, so I felt I should listen to what Brighton had to say."

SWINDON Town could re-ignite their interest in Exeter City captain Matt Taylor, after selling Gordon Greer to Brighton.
