He is launching an 'initiative' through his deputy mayor for policing, Kit Malthouse, to try and reduce gang influence and knife crime.

He has a plan to revive London's 'lost' rivers... turning Fleet Street into a canal with gondolas!

I believe its a sewer works at the mo, like 99% of all of London lost rivers. :lolol:

I hope that works. Good luck to him and the others, Lodon Police and Politicians have been too complacent too long and too complacent about "crime that involves no personal injury."

I get sent e-mails from London Cycling Campaign, Hackney Branch. Not aday goes by, without a bike being stolen or a mugging.

In all cases the Police don't treat it as a serious crime and do nothing about it. Bike crime feeds the drug industry and the gang culture.

In what other civilised nation, would we dismiss such a crime as a non -crime. ?:censored::tosser:

now you're turning into a bit of an old cynic arent you ??

In an opinion poll after the Hutton whitewash... only 38% believed that David Kelly committed suicide.

The amount of coproxamol tablets was one third of the normal lethal dose.

The knife which supposedly he cut his wrist with had no fingerprints on it, not even his own (and he wasn't wearing gloves).

There have been several expert witnesses testifying to the FACT that there were no other instances of death of adult males by cutting their own wrists that YEAR, and that in the cold, outside it would be even less likely.

Reports from paramedics on the scene said there was little blood in evidence.

Nice work Tony, I hope this haunts you to the grave.

dont think they would have gone to war on the " evidence" that labour provided.

sadly yes, in fact didn't the leadership of all 3 parties have access to the same information

These political debates are so comical. Nobody is ever going to change anyones views on this site. You basically have two main groups. Those that want more money for themselves to make their life better and those that think you need to make society better. Personally, I'm a socialist which, to me, means equal opportunities for all rather than a privelaged few. No party probably fully meets this criteria but Labour come closest although I am not a fan of Brown.

I don't expect to change anyones opinion but at least on this site it is fun having a dig at the morons who worship Maggie and her true blue army!!!!

i dont think so, but iam prepared to be corrected , even if they did , only blair would have known it was lies wouldnt he ??

I was under the impression, as always happens, in times of war and other national emergencies, that all main political party leaders are fully briefed, giving full evidence etc.

I also refer to the Falklands War, where Micheal Foot stated at the time and afterwards, that based on the evidence he had been privilaged to see (State Secrets etc) he would have come to the same conclusion and gone to War.

In the Iraq case that's why the Conservative Leadership was in full support!

However, I like so many of my countrymen, believe that the evidence was "presented" in such a way, often with little supporting fact/ data/ evidence to suite Blairs Poitical agenda.

what, you think blair would have invited the two leaders to view the evidence and then admitted it was all a bag of bollocks ? :dunce:

I haven't said what my thoughts are; the point that I'm making, in response to a question that surely only the prime minister would have known it was all lies (if it was), is that we don't know. Politics at a macro level is nothing the like the lives that the rest of us lead and it is perfectly possible that there are three plausible scenarios here. All IMO of course but the next administration could always release the files, then you'd know for sure eh?

at which point the quality debate put forward starts to fade away. I understand Spielberg peddling the myth - it'r reactionary, it's in the daily mail - it must be true.

But dont start joining in please
