Barcombe
McDermott's Two Hours featuring Nick Burbridge and Ben Paley (who are also playing at the Strummer thing on 14th November, on stage about 10.30).

Very good stuff indeed.

Burgess Hill
Easyworld who are from Eastbourne were hugely under rated but sadly split a few weeks ago.

Their last Album 'Kill the last romantic' was brilliant but didn't get the commercial success it deserved although their single 'till the day' did go top 20 I think.

Have to agree. Saw McDermotts and The Levellers both in one great foot stomping night at the Zap Club many years ago - Marvellous Scenes!

Before some pedant claims that they were from Lindfield (actually) can I just say that no-one cares.

That'll be in the same way that keane are from Battle ... and are rubbish. No guitars, that's not a proper band.

Hazel O'Connors brother used to live on a houseboat in Shoreham (he was in her band)

Miller Anderson (Keef Hartley, T-Rex, Donovan, Spencer Davis, Deep Purple . . . . . .) probably the the best musician I know
