The game in question - wasn't it the Leeds game (Delph goal)?

and , rather ironically , isn't he injured again?

If only the club or Glenn had made it clear in the press he was playing with an injury and maybe people wouldn't have got on his back at the time?

So by his own admission we persevered with him when he was constantly injured. We sent him to the top specialists to resolve his problems and we effectively saved his career, and how does he thanks us......

By signing for our rivals.

Nice bloke.

Adam Virgo insists there is nothing wrong with Albion’s team spirit after an on-pitch bust-up involving Glenn Murray and Tommy Fraser.

Fraser barged into Murray in a row over Leeds’ clinching second goal at Withdean.

Murray, on as a substitute, stopped chasing Fabian Delph when the teenage midfielder ran the length of the field in the closing stages to clinch a 2-0 victory for Leeds.

Tommy Elphick gesticulated at Murray and Tommy Fraser then ran 20 yards to barge into Albion’s top scorer, who only started on the bench after suffering a recurrence of a stomach strain.

Was thinking exactly the same as I was reading it, plus the costs we forked out to get him fit and save his career.

Cheers fella!

I can't help but like the guy. I know he is a moody, sulky bloke but I liked it when he was OUR moody, sulky bloke.

I agree

Although I think my applause for him for his goals as our player as he walks out with his Palace shirt on MIGHT be drowned out by the boo's and swearing from my fellow North Standers.......!!!!!

Exactly. You can't help thinking there is some residual bitterness towards the fans who got on his back, and maybe even the club medical staff for not sorting it sooner.

Glenn Murray did not choose to move to Palace by choice. In fact he wanted to stay at Brighton....hence why he wanted to remain living in Brighton, and only demanded a very reasonable new deal. The reason why he left is because Poyet didn't offer him anything, apparently because Poyet never liked him, not because he wanted to leave. I still personally believe that our attack is missing Glenn's aerial presence and hold up play and could imagine him being the perfect strike partner with CMS.

a twitter follower just showed us this ... it is advertorial, a placed article, the piece is sponsored by new painkiller Nuramol, he's sold this story, more great work from his agent.

Not strictly true - I know the journo that wrote this (he's a Chester fan and his wife is a southampton fan). he picked the story up from Murray's comments on the mid season video last year. The Nuramol piece came out in discussions and I believe the paper approached them to get the placement.

No Glenn Murray, no title last season. How would we have fared with Liam Dickinson, Holroyd, Wood and Sandaza up front?

He wanted a three year deal, Gus only offered him two, so he opted for Palace, who also had £8,000 a week on the table compared to our £6,500.

If he was truly shit the reaction would have been 'meh' but he was the second highest scorer at Withdean.

Exactly. There's absolutely no story here, just bigging up Nuromol painkillers, which by the way sound in no way special. A combination of paracetamol AND Ibuprofen, well big wow. It must save lives the world over now that the two most commonly available painkillers are rolled into one pill instead of having to take TWO.

The company have obviously paid for this advertorial and yet the link back to their site doesn't actually work, which I've no doubt is pissing their execs off immensely.

I'm not sure I've ever seen anything so shameless
