"I’m glad the Brighton fans eventually got to see the best of me" - because when I shafted them and they weren't that bothered, it hurt and I had to take some nuromol

I find the whole article a bit odd - given that most Express readers won't know who Murray is, why is there a full page dedicated to a lower league footballer who's now got over an injury? It's not like Palace have a game on TV tonight or something that it is building up to.

He won more headers in all areas of the pitch than any other Albion player I have seen. Not through being Crouch like but by the timing and positioning of jumps. He could certainly finish and was deceptively skillful. I think we would have been a better team with him this season - but Gus knows more about football than me and he thinks otherwise.

I looked up who is sponsoring Murray's kit... any guesses?

Name: Glenn Murray
Nationality: English
Date of Birth: 25/09/1983
Height: 6' 1" (186cm)
Weight: 13st 3lbs (84.0kg)
Previous
Clubs: Carlisle, Rochdale, Brighton, Stockport (loan)
Position: Striker

Kit Sponsorship:

Home Kit: Nuromol
Away Kit: Tubigrip

OK, so it's not really, it's the Silversteins .... but it would have been GREAT if it were true!

Not going to comment on the article because I won't be bothering to read it, but on Murray's position; he'd been with us for long enough to have his eyes open about any move to Palace and the reaction it would elicit.

I don't care what the contract offer was, I don't care how many goals he scored for us last season, I don't care what his reasons were. He took Palace's 30 pieces of silver and will doubtless respond to the abuse he will know is coming by scoring against us and doing that stupid hand to forehead celebration.

If he reacts by playing shit and losing his rag, so much the better, but having seen the sort of bloke he apparently is, namely, very much his own man, I seriously doubt he'll give a flying toss.

As for the move itself, no doubt in the short term it was better for him financially. But for his career? Difficult to be objective as a Brighton fan of course, but would even an outsider seriously view it as an upward move these days?

Never done this before, but very much this!!!

Have some rep sir.

Tubigrip??? is that for dentures?

Let's face it, BHA have more chance playing in the prem next season than palace. If that happens, Murray will sit down and think 'crap. that could have been me- earning prem wages'.

Tubigrip is a support bandage , he's going to need several after Greer has finished with him next month.

What a ludicrous article that is. "The solution" wasn't the painkiller... it was another specialist operation. It's nothing more than an advert. I'm going to look into PCC guidelines.. it's utter shit...

It's always best to speak to the PCC first and they can inform you about which codes if any have been broken. They're very helpful. Try 020 7831 0022 or 0845 600 2757. It's local rate.

Can't see anything in their code that would apply but that sort of 'journalism' just really hacks me off. They should mark it as an advert.

What I find odd about the article is the implication that Glenn was basically just left to sort out his problems by himself:
Finally last summer Glenn decided to seek treatment at Leicester General Hospital from David Lloyd...

The Nuromol thing does seem really shoehorned in.

Reminds me of this:

So did Roz pay him a visit?
