As someone of Chinese descent, while I can't speak for the whole of Chinese civilisation for ever and ever, I have no problem with Glenn Hoddle's joke the other day. It's just a harmless play with the English language's clumsy version of Chinese names. It would be difficult to read from that that hoddle is stating one race is superior or inferior than another. For that reason, his joke, in the tradition of Francis lee 'lee won pen' can not creditably be seen as racist. With vulture, it's a different story.
