Been here for a while now, took some time to get used to the surrounding area.
All the shops are built like warehouses with concrete walls and have massive signs like the signs you see for motels in yank movies. traffic light colour sequence the same as America, goes straight from red to green, no amber.
I have never seen so many fast food outlets to serve such a small population, all with the ' motel ' type sign.
Schools have semesters, graduation and year 12 prom nights.
More religions than football teams and the currency being called a dollar.
Shopping centres are called malls etc. but if you comment, like I did, about so much Americanism they raise their hands in protest saying they are much more like the English in their outlook etc...................................................all wearing baseball caps.
