Don't think the Owen thing is more than silly season tittle tattle but did occur to me that it would be quite cool to have a former Real Madrid galactico on our books...

Would look good when reading our player profiles in match programmes. More of ring to it than 'bought from Sudbury Utd for a set of tracksuits' etc

Anyway it begs the question: what (if any) other footie connections are there between Brighton & Real Madrid?

Pity about that last question, Brighton to Real Ale would be easier.

Presumably Gus played against them.

And I think palace did some time in the 1960's but will get that confirmed, it was a testimonial I think.
