Cadburys Top Deck - normal chocolate with white chocolate "glued" to the top. They relaunched it a while back and the white stuff was VILE, used to be really nice.

I loved Cabana bars - chocolate, coconut, caramel and cherry pieces. Yum!

What about Spangles? I was also a big fan of Ringos crisps and I used to drink loads of R White's Cream Soda.

And Cider ice lollies.

spangles!!!!

From www.bagofsweets.com - Spangles
Flavours: Aniseed
Spangles Fruit flavoured square boiled sweets – that came in a tube. They were made by Mars, sadly they were discontinued in the early 80's but they were re-introduced due to popular demand in the 90's. Only to be withdrawn again a short while later. I don’t think these will be back on the shelves again. S.I.P. † (Sweets In Peace)

Garbage Pail stickers.

In fact any 80s Panini sticker collections where you could buy a packet of 6 for 12p.

Now they're all far too expensive and not nearly as exciting.

I went through phase of collecting Mexico 86 stickers, along with everyone else in my primary school.

By the time i got bored of them and realised I was never going to get either the silver Iraq team badge or Jesper Olsen no matter how many packets I bought, I'd accumulated12 Kenny Sansoms, 9 Gary Baileys, 7 Karl-Heinz Rummenigges, 6 Norman Whitesides and a brace of Cha Bum Kuns*

*any 80s child will tell you that Cha Bum Kun was the funniest named player EVER.

:lolol:

The "It's frothy man" drink was definitely Cresta.

Anyone else remember Amazin Rasin (sp) and Aztec bars?. And although I didn't LIKE it I do miss Watney's pubs as it was always a good guide as to which pubs to ignore. Speaking of pubs and beer, whatever happened to:

Brickwoods,
Bass Charrington,
Double Diamond
Ind Coope?

I know a lot of the brewers got merged (Grand Met, Allied Domeq, etc) but those old brands remind me of my youth.

This is one for the oldies, "Aztec" chocolate bars, full of caramel and raisins. It felt like your mouth was full of gooey rabbit droppings

I'm sure there was a drink called Quattro once. It was in a green can, but was probably vile.

Tab Clear was a mercifully short lived experiment by Coke.

And why no popping candy any more?

Sherbert flying saucers never taste as good as they used to either.

Whisper Gold. They were delicious.

And whatever happened to Quosh? My Grandma once gave me a full glass of that undiluted when I was little...
