BBC now saying that Flybe have gone into administration and advising passengers not to travel to the airport. Also saying that alternative flights have not been arranged with other airlines.

When this first came about in January, the media and social media was all full of indignant people saying that Flybe is killing the planet by flying from Newquay to London City airport or to outlying areas of Scotland and people should cycle and take the train instead ( even if the equivalent train journey was £100 more expensive and took 2.5 hours longer each way to London)

Flybe was obviously a failing business as a lot of airlines have gone to the wall and it will be interesting how the government reacts to this knowing how they are keen on connecting all parts of the country.

Good on EasyJet. Offering those with FlyBe flights until end of May a £65 fare for the same flight (with 15kg baggage)

I heard that the blame is Brexit and the fall in the value of the pound

New York City flights booked with them for this summer.

All airlines will shirley have a huge dip with the virus. Simon Calder said already there are holiday bargains appearing, whilst Easyjet and others are cancelling entire routes.

Hopefully the Norwegian government steps in. Instead of having national debt, they have a US$1T sovereign wealth fund.

BA have reduced some US flights, cancellations to New York, Italy, France, Austria, Belgium, Germany and Ireland.

Simon Calder gave loads of examples earlier in the week. Only because the name stood out, I remember he said virtually everything to/from Albania.
